Ayyeeeeeee, Sarah said knock y’all out! I’m gonna knock y’all out!

Alright, lets get down to the matter at hand. #BlackBlogsMatter Challenge is back for 2019 thanks to the Creator Sarah Morgan. Last year was my first time being part of the movement and I’m so excited it’s time again. While we can always share our words and creations with y’all, the #BlackBlogsMatter challenge just makes it 100000000000000000000000000000 x’s better, no exaggeration, deal with it. Make sure you click the links and check out all the information you need to participate, understand, uplift, share, follow, and all that other good stuff.

So, WHY do Black Blogs STILL Matter? Because Black Lives Matter. Black Women Matter. Black Doctors Matter. Black Actors Matter. Little Black Boys Matter. Little Black Girls w/ the naps in the back? Yup, They Matter. The Qai Qai’s of the world matter (if you don’t know who that is, you’re already lost). That Black Boy you’re about to call the cops on and possibly get him killed because he’s minding his business and you can’t mind yours?? Oh yea, He matters too.

I hope you get my point.

#BlackBlogsMatter because we are the voices of those who can’t speak for themselves when y’all have put them in a jail cell, a wooden box, or even the back of the classroom because you think we don’t deserve the same knowledge as our peers.

#BlackBlogsMatter because we get to be honest and call people on the TRUTH. It doesn’t matter the amount of money you make from the 7.25 minimum wage workers to the guy y’all put in office for no reason. Facts aren’t fake news.

#BlackBlogsMatter because instead of someone else telling Black people how we should feel about our thoughts, our bodies, our experiences, our existence … we get to tell y’all how it really is.

#BlackBlogsMatter because without all of our voices in the spaces we’ve created (because y’all barely let us in “your space” yet want to find a perfect “culture fit”) this world would be a horrible place.

#BlackBlogsStillMatter because WE say so … and our words should be enough.

#BlackBlogsMatter 2019 is here and we’re ready to give you another glimpse into the lives of Black People trying to prove we are enough, even when we’ve already done too much.

Until Next Time …
